New salt range from Marina Sea Salt

Marina Sea Salt has grown from a small family business to a leading national salt supplier in South Africa. The saltpans are situated on rich historical land, believed to be amongst the first saltpans in South Africa, as local inhabitants already gathered salt in these pans in the late 1700s. Today, thanks to a long-term-lease with the local Bethelsdorp Salt Pans Board, Marina Sea Salt is cultivating these same saltpans.

The ingredients are ocean seawater, natural sunlight, cool coastal breeze and a decent amount of patience, as it takes two years to make the salt. The sea salt the company produces is amongst the highest and purest quality from the sea that has been produced since the 1950s.

The new Lighthouse Sea Salt Range comes in two packaging solutions:

  • A 500g flask - the closure comes with a screw-in lid for easy refilling, and also a dual purpose Pour and Shake flip lid.
  • 750g stand-up pouch with an easy pour nozzle with a screw-in-lid that prevents moisture and spillage, so clothing pegs are no longer needed.

The empty pouch can be re-used as a water container for outdoor activities, or frozen it can keep meat and drinks cool. The Flask and Stand-up Pouch are in the same red and white colours and shape to resemble a lighthouse.
