    MIFSA concert to support Ghana

    MIFSA, the Music Industry Forum of South Africa is staging a live concert to support the qualifying Ghana team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The show will take place at the Bassline in the Newtown Precinct, Johannesburg, Tuesday, 29 June, 2010.

    The cost is R100 at the door and a sterling line-up of artists will perform in celebration of Ghana's qualification into the last 16 of the tournament.

    Leading the line-up is Ringo Madlingozi, who is currently working on a brand new studio album. Also performing in support of Ghana is southern African star, Tsepo Tshola.

    They are joined by Babsi Mlangeni, Bekhezela Jazz Band and Unconventional Sol, as well as Afro-soul singer Zonke, who is seen as one of South Africa's most gifted young talents.

    Representing Ghana are Amandzeba and Rex Omar - two acts that will be rallying audiences in support of the qualifying African nation.

    MIFSA's Mandla Maseko said: "We are thrilled that Ghana has a fighting chance of getting through to the last stages of the cup and wanted to show our support for their brilliant accomplishment.

    "We have assembled a fantastic line-up of southern African and Ghanaian artists to help us rally support around Ghana and urge anyone who is a fan of African music and football to join us on 29 June."
