Social media marketing creates a warm relationship with users who can be potential customers. Indeed it is one of the most cost-effective way to advertise your products or services, as discussed in primeview.com., social media posts are easily synced across other social media platforms, making it easier to market your products on many different social media websites. It also allows you to focus on your target market. In addition, social media has the capacity to provide user generated content through comments and reviews, majority of visitors trust user-generated content more than the website content. All this boils down to one thing, social media can largely affect your ranking on search engines making it easier for business owners to improve their online presence and market their product conveniently and easily, 24/7.
Hi Wynand, I think this is an absolutely fantastic article that EVERYONE should read, no matter how young or old. A really brilliant piece of writing that really gets to the heart of retaining staff and driving costs down through retention and personal upliftment.
Mobile is key moving forward, an estimated 330m new mobile phones will make their way into Africa by 2020. There are already more mobile devices in Africa than toothbrushes, scary but true... Consider that 75%-90% of shoppers (product vertical dependant) use their mobile phones in store to research & compare pricing. Short form mobile video consumption will surpass TV by 2020 globally and finally as at Dec 2015 Google confirmed that the average South African unlocks and interacts with their mobile 110 times daily. I suspect the majority of Africans, South American & East Asias would dwarf this number, it's not uncommon for price sensitive aspirational users to carry multiple phones in these territories. Not doubt that mobile is able to make a meaningful contribution to business and commerce. The future is dependant on our ability to financially make many easy, secure micro-mobile payments to individuals who actually deserve the money. Making secure, cashless mobile payments possible between the seller & buyer of (as an example) fruit and veggies from the seller's garden seamlessly will go a long way to distributing economic wealth to millions of people. Uber is a great example.. While it creates a platform that allows individuals the ability to monetize their under utilized vehicles, proving that money can be earned by the "little guy" its biggest achievement in my humble opinion is the cashless, secure and easy payment process that it has created.A real opportunity for developing markets to augment their GDP growth by developing African apps for African people created and owned by Africans too.
Hi there, yes a very large part of this is education, the language in the industry needs to change, without that the industry will always have a large disconnect in terms of understanding how many different types of SEO there are, and what they actually require. The other part of this is that the cost for these services doesn't offer immediate visible ROI, like search, so it makes winning the business only possible after the education. I wont go into unethical agencies that sell the client "SEO" but buy search instead, so makes it very difficult to change the understanding. We are winning the battle slowly but surely.
Nice read Ann, one of the best Insurance ads i've seen was actually for life insurance and not car but still very funny...and offensive in the same way, quite controversial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovsjz5oISZk
Hi, Great stuff that is done by Calgro. My concern is that majority of targeted people, their home loans applications are declined due to overindebtedness and negative credit record. We have managed to innovate a solution to the above concern - Credit Literacy Wellness Innitiative. A capcity programme thats add value and assist the declined individuals to repair their credit bureau profiles and increase disposable income/affordability. We conduct sustainable homeownership workshops for projects like Calgro. We like what they do and we beleive we can add value for money in their projects.
The problem is not the weakening rand but the fact that more than 70% of cars in South Africa are not insured, make it compulsory to buy car insurance and we will all benefit of reduced rates as insurance is a numbers game.
Hi all, We recently launched a new financial comparison website called www.likemoney.co.za, we compare hundreds of financial products based on your friends & other users recommendations, We compare credit cards, Bank & saving accounts, insurance as well as comparison of all broadband products available to the South African consumer & business sectors.
Great article; thanks Shakir. I totally agree with your assertion regarding the creation of a strategic map - within and beyond our borders. Your point on addressing the source (markets) as a sustainable, cost-effective and long-term solution is entirely valid - except that time is not on our side.
I'd say that it is an opportunity to notice that the logos that boast neuroscience/neuromarketing support seems "poor" for unknown reasons. I feel them unattractive. Take the TIM that is so near to the EI. No doubt that the Neuromarketing is at work and succesfully so. But the level of the message that is provided targets some of the brain structures. There is no reason, as far as I know, not to use a more meaningful image that "include" the same information from a Neuromarketing point of view, but also transfers a richer company identity. Bars and squares are easily recognised, but no dynamics, no "energy".
Sounds all great....what are the cost implications when purchasing a unit and does the funds get debited directly to the account holder or via another institution first.
