I am an experienced HR and business professional, with roles in mining, oil & gas, hospitality and retail sectors in various capacities. Over the last 18 years, I have held ever increasing senior roles in a diversity of cultures, most recently, as a member of the Leadership Team for Sub-Sahara Africa (All countries on the African continent, except Nigeria and far North Africa) for a 600 Million USD business. I have been responsible for operations in the Middle East and entry into new markets for example Iraq, Uganda, and Mozambique. In addition, I have managed various change management initiatives, including the integration of new businesses into existing, migration of HR business models ensuring alignment with strategic business needs both in the Middle East and Africa.
I have lived and worked in South Africa, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia (with additional responsibility for African and Middle East North Countries), establishing HR teams and re-establishing businesses. I have completed my MBA at the top African MBA School, with my thesis focusing on how the HR organization is structured within multinational corporations with operations on the African continent. I expect my degree to be awarded at graduation in June 2014.
