Project manager at Arise and Shine organisation & Day Care : My position is to make sure that the organisational structure and staffing model is appropriate for the work to be done. For example, in a large community drop-in with many programs for low -income people.
I recruit ; train and supervise the staff supporting them all as a functional leadership team ; Develop the work-plan that will frame the implementation of the strategic plan.This includes the tasks to be done ; lead staff person or unit ; resource needed; timeline ; and expected outcomes. Working collaboratively with other service agencies to achieve community goals. An example of this kind of effort is working together to ensure that every child goes to school with breakfast and lunch, To negotiate with Government agencies or Foundations for funding for ongoing services or for project. To communicate strategically , this includes , dealing with the media, knowing when and how to approach them, and how to respond to queries often a challenging responsibility.
