The purpose of the layout artist is to develop artwork visuals that are an accurate representation of the customer’s branding requirements on the selected product and to communicate any branding limitations. Setting up print ready files and ensuring colours are converted properly. Job objectives and functions:
Creating artwork visuals
Develop artwork visuals and communicate to relevant sales/clients regarding limitations, to obtain layout approvals
Make amendments based on customer feedback
Colour conversion
Apply the correct pantone colours as per customer specifications
Print file
Setup print ready files in line with products.
Produce print files to scale
Print files to match approved layouts
Quality checking
Quality check print files against the supplied artworks and approved layout to ensure there’s no errors
