Safrea is a professional association of freelance workers in the communications field. Members are writers, photographers, editors, proof-readers, graphic designers, illustrators, researchers, translators and other experts in communication who offer a broad range of skills and specialities.

As a Safrean, you become part of a virtual group of like-minded people, freelancers like yourself, who understand the challenges of being self-employed, finding clients, keeping those clients, advice on rates, contracts, taxation, how to handle non-paying customers, the legal aspects, dealing with an overload of work, getting through the quiet times, how to market and grow your business.

Safrea holds regular regional meetings in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London and Durban. For more information, go to www.safrea.co.za.
