Col'Cacchio celebrates community with #MyColCacchio initiative during lockdown

As disheartening as it is to be facing a third wave of the global pandemic, South Africans can still come together around great pizza delivered to their homes; and by way, do good in their communities too. That's the message from Col'Cacchio Pizzeria which is forging ahead with the #MyColCacchio initiative despite the latest lockdown.

Pivoting to take-aways of the #MyColCacchio limited edition meals, Col'Cacchio pizzerias are keeping up the momentum to bring their communities together and raise funds for local causes.

Col’Cacchio co-founder and CEO, Kinga Baranowska says: "This initiative celebrates the best in spirit of South Africans as we face ongoing challenges. It’s a way to have some fun and enjoy a great pizza despite the lockdown while also supporting the hard-hit restaurants in our communities and giving back to a local charity."

With every sale of the limited edition #MyColCacchio meals, R5.00 will be donated on patrons behalf to selected charity in communities.

Countrywide, the #MyColCacchio limited-edition pizza and meals have been curated to suit the sensibilities of their communities in the following ways:

• Col’Cacchio’s CBD oil pizza, known as the Not So Plain Mary Jane will be making a return at Col’Cacchio restaurants in Cape Town’s southern suburbs and funds raised will benefit StreetSmart.

• At Durban Col’Cacchio restaurants the Bunny Chow Calzone is in the spotlight, and the R5.00 donation per meal supports Save the Children.

• The #MyColCacchio Gnocchi Manzo Ragu will be available at Col’Cacchio pizzerias in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs with funds raised benefitting the Ikemeleng Foundation.

• Communities in Cape Town’s northern suburbs can enjoy the Local is Lekker Pizza featuring biltong as the hero ingredient and funds raised at these Col’Cacchio outlets will support Durbanville Children's Home.

• At the Halaal-certified Norwood and Canal Walk Col’Cacchios, masala-inspired dishes are featured during the initiative and donations support Rise Against Hunger and Igardi Project.
