Ongelooflik.

Bad Taste!-
I understand the need for the organizers to protect the rights of their sponsors but it is amazing how the World Cup is leaving a bad taste in peoples mouths before it even starts! First the ticket debacle and now they are threatening people - would love to know who is handling their PR?

No this won't do - get other sponsors - give me Coke-
I am of the opinion that the CWC organisation should acquire some partners with realistic expectations. This is still going to cause a huge public outcry! OUT!

what about my coca cola bikini?-
having a free press is great!!!we are one of the few countries where all the bad news gets spread, world wide, before it even happened!!!we do not try to manipulate the press so that we are percieved by the world as the goodies trying to disarm the baddies, or that we r this gr8 african country with no poverty, aids, & where all races are respected equally. Nope that is not us!! In our beautifull country we call a spade a farking shovel. So if we can say what we will, I am sure our freedom loving head honcho's wont mind so much if i wear my coca(left boob) cola(right boob)DD bikini!!!Will they really confiscate that????

Asking for it?-
By making such arcane regulations, they are just stimulating the creatives to see if they can breach the Nazi-style rules. I DARE all creatives to get past security and get some free coverage. Let's show these bastards what South Africa can really do in the creative department.

Stock up on Coke ... before the rush-
I accept that the global and local sponsors of such an event have invested sizable resources into the campaigns, but is it really going to yeild the dividends they are praying for?? I doubt it. Not only will we be subjected to repetitive ads (I refer to the Soccer World Cup: I did not drink any SAB product, Buy a Hyundai or talk more on my MTN "free" phone)but rather developed an inherint resistance to this boring repetitive & invasive advertising. So I'll be sure to stock up on my favourite "other" cola and sit back and enjoy the CWC anyway - even if the players & public are forced to abide!!

What happened to freedom of choice???-
South Africa is a democratic country. Huh?? Sure, let's give sponsors their ability to market but don't tell me what I can and cannot drink at an event that I paid to be at during my spare time out of my own free will!

WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!-
Can't believe they're doing that. What about people who just wear t-shirts with a name on for the hell of it? Do they think that everybody wearing clothing with rival brands on are actively promoting those brands. Geez, why don't they tell us what to eat or say or where to bloody well live next.

Free sponsored clothing for spectators-
Clifford Green and his lawyers and companies interested in protecting the rights of the 'official' sponsors of the cricket World Cup, need to supply all spectators of these events with 'official' branded clothing and caps. Why not limit the spectators to the staff of the 'official Sponsors' so that any freedom of speech or freedom of choice embarrasments can be averted!!!!! The entire poputation of South Africa (is it still called that or is it now Pepsiland, Standard Bankville or The Republic of LG?)must be informed by all means possible that you intend to confiscate their belongings.

Thank you-
I can't wait to go te the cricket world cup!! I assume that I will collect my MTN phone, electronic goods from LG and a new Honda before the game. Thanks also Pepsi for all the free drinks I will get so that my advertising endorsement of your products will be paid for.

It is absolutely crazy!-
This I understand "Officials will especially be on the lookout for concerted efforts to obtain free exposure, such as a group of people each wearing a letter making up the name of a company not associated with the event." But this! "If, for example, a fan is wearing a Coca-Cola T-shirt while our official sponsor is Pepsi, then that item could be confiscated." It is absolutely crazy.
