Why is it so difficult to get into presenting in this country?
Having completed an intensive TV training course and armed with passion, determination, good looks , some radio experience, the relevant degree and a couple commercials under my belt, I thought that I would be a shoe-in for a presenting or news reading job...
Alas, that was four years ago and I still don't have one. I have remained determined- I continued training, even trying some modeling. In desperation, I started calling TV channels, telling them that I was prepared to start from the bottem and work my way up. No chance!
It's really getting ridiculous now!
I know that I am not alone, there are many other beautiful and talented aspiring presenters in South Africa, all searching for oppurtunities and openings into the industry.
Where are the internships and castings? How do u get a break?
