3rd Anti-Corruption, Ethics & Compliance Conference 2026

The 3rd Annual Anti-Corruption, Ethics & Compliance Conference will take place on 3–4 June 2026 at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, South Africa, bringing together leaders from financial services, government, and industry to address the rapidly evolving landscape of corruption, compliance, and financial crime.

As artificial intelligence, digital assets, and geopolitical pressures reshape global risk, this year’s conference will focus on how organisations can strengthen governance, enhance transparency, and build resilient compliance frameworks.

The 2026 agenda places strong emphasis on the intersection of AI, crypto, anti-money laundering (AML), and ethics, offering practical insights and real-world perspectives from regulators, banking executives, forensic specialists, and technology experts across Southern Africa.

Key topics include:
• The role of AI in detecting and combating financial crime
• Crypto, DeFi, and emerging AML challenges
• Sanctions and compliance amid a shifting geopolitical landscape
• Trade-based money laundering and illicit financial flows in Africa
• Public procurement integrity and lessons from recent South African scandals
• ESG, climate finance, and corruption risks
• The evolving role of the Chief Compliance Officer

A highlight of the programme is the session “Public Procurement Integrity in Health & Education: Lessons from South Africa’s Recent Scandals,” which will unpack ongoing procurement failures, drawing on recent high-profile developments to explore systemic weaknesses in oversight, transparency, and accountability across key public sectors.

Speaking ahead of the event, the organisers noted: “The nature of corruption and financial crime is changing rapidly. This conference is designed to equip leaders with the insights, tools, and strategies needed to navigate a world where technology, regulation, and risk are deeply interconnected.”

The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and an interactive masterclass focused on embedding compliance culture within organisations.

Hosted in a hybrid format, the event is expected to attract senior decision-makers, including Chief Compliance Officers, risk and audit leaders, regulators, legal professionals, and fintech innovators.
