The global theme for this years’ International Nurses Day is A force for change: improving health systems' resilience. The group believes this starts with a patient-centric approach, which it implements through its Care programme

“The programme is a fundamental part of how we deliver healthcare services at Life Groenkloof Hospital. We place great value on ensuring that our patients are treated with respect, dignity and the empathy required and our nurses are at the forefront of providing this.”

“We are constantly working towards improving our systems, processes and procedures, in line with the group’s policies, said Jakes Scholtemeyer, hospital manager, Life Groenkloof Hospital.

A total of 24,000 employees in all the Life hospitals will be trained by the end of 2016, including nursing staff, doctors, students, management, partners, as well as service providers
