The Cradle of Humankind welcomes Molitva Orthodox Mediterranean to its list of restaurants

The Cradle of Humankind has welcomed Molitva Orthodox Mediterranean restaurant to its list of restaurants.

Molitva is set to bring a Mediterranean feel with its unique interior and exterior style and mezze menu offering.

"What sets Molitva apart is how we have carefully crafted our seasonal menu, which we continuously update to deliver on the taste profile of our clientele and global dining trends. Our Mezze menu which offers a wide selection of delectable tapas, takes our guests on a taste experience that allows them to travel from one part of the Mediterranean region to the other," says Milan Cerimaj, head chef.

Creating experiences

TV producer and businessman Thapelo Mokoena and his partners Milan, The Kambulas & Mix FM saw an opportunity offered by the Covid pandemic to build a contemporary establishment for those who seek an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and those who want to embark on a taste experience like no other.

"The idea for Moltiva was birthed out of creating experiences for people travelling in and around Joburg. The recent lockdown restrictions has truly left us with a new found need to seek and explore our surroundings for an escape from life as we now know it and just seek for more meaningful experience and this is what we aim to offer at Moltiva – an experience like no other for the entire family.

"This is not just a restaurant, it’s a destination," concluded Mokoena.
