Being in the media industry for the past 17 years has developed me into an accomplished managing editor and journalist in digital, broadcast and print media.

I’ve helped develop and build digital products for two media houses in South Africa and I’m currently doing the same in Istanbul, Turkey.

In my current role, I’m working under the auspices of digital media experts like former editor of AJ+ and lecturer at Wits University, Ashfaaq Carim and former head of AJ+, Riyaad Minty. Previously, I’ve worked for heavyweight South African media outlets Primedia Broadcasting (EWN, 702 and Cape Talk), Jacaranda FM, Africa News Wire Services and Caxton Publishers & Printers.

During my career, I've worked in positions across different media formats in various roles which include: senior digital editor, digital sub editor, digital strategist and developing the digital editorial format.

My experience also spans across broadcasting as I’ve worked as a broadcast news editor, broadcast producer and on-air anchor/reporter.

I’ve reported live from many major sporting events and breaking news stories and worked as an editor and sub editor in print media.
