Busisiwe studied a BA Motion Picture (Hons.) majoring in Television Production in the directing and producing disciplines. During her studies, she worked as a production assistant on various productions including Star Block Workout on Trace TV, the Official 20th Anniversary Oppikoppi Documentary to name a few as well as a researcher on Making Moves, an entrepreneurship TV show on SABC1.

After her studies, Busisiwe worked for the Tshwane WiFi TV Digital Project which provides free and unlimited WiFi for the City of Tshwane over the free WiFi network. On the project she was a content producer and responsible for the content on various productions, a presenter as well as a junior manager for the team based in Pretoria.

Busisiwe currently works as a researcher for Mzansi Magic's Utatakho, which is a reality TV show that helps people with DNA tests with their fathers.
