2018, January: Part-time study; part-time work
? Part-time studying at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Graphic Design Course.
? Winter internship at Engage Brandcraft, Cape Town.
I was an assistant in the graphic design department. I brainstormed ideas for a few local up-and-coming businesses and created mood boards for the clients. I gave feedback to my lecturer by compyling a poster report on the internship.
? Working part-time at Von Seidels Intellectual Property Attorneys as a general worker.
2012 - Current: Freelancing. Several projects, for example:
? Skateboard Designer, Future Woods, Epping 1. Two month project. October 2014.
I was in charge of all the designs, hand illustrations and artwork with fine liners, markers and pencil sketches, getting it ready for screen printing.
? T-shirt and logo designer, Double D Clothing Label, Parow. 2013.
As seen in my mini portfolio, I designed a Double-D logo and developed concepts for duplication onto various clothing items by a manufacturer in China. The range included T-shirts for boys, crewnecks for gents and ladies, hoodies for gents and ladies, as well as unisex cap designs.
2011, June: Graphic Designer, Streetking Clothing & Signage, Parow.
? Responsible for all graphic designs from design to printing on e.g. vinyl, plastic or paper for branded items like T- shirt designs, logo's and more.
? Vinyl cutting, weeding, application & wrapping, e.g. Roland vinyl cutter and Digital printing.
? Hand sign writing, e.g. customized sneakers, T-shirts.
? Advertisements, e.g. vinyl on correx for estate agent boards.
? Client liaison.
Reason for leaving: Streetkings merged with Sage Signs. Resigned.
