Chris' career started working for Gearhouse South Africa in Johannesburg, before taking the decision to leave for London in 2002, a move that facilitated access to a vast array of amazing projects for extremely high profile clients. In his capacity as a sound engineer, Chris provided services for such luminary events as The Beckham's pre World Cup party in 2006, Top Shop owner Phillip Green's exclusive party in Marrakech and A-List events in Cannes, Barcelona, Miami and Bangkok. These events featured performances by the likes of Robbie Williams, James Brown, Lionel Richie, Eric Clapton, Dannii Minogue and many more. In addition, he was also involved in many private events hosted by the British Royal family and HRH Prince Charles at St. James's Palace, Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.

In 2006 Chris became certified as a Pro Tools Operator and was soon tasked with handling the recordings for the exclusive & burgeoning iTunes Live events, where he recorded over 300 artists such as Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse, Kasabian, Oasis, Snow Patrol, MIKA, Dizzee Rascal, James Blunt, Franz Ferdinand, Paolo Nutini, Calvin Harris, Placebo, Mumford & Sons, MGMT, Groove Armada, Nick Cave, Jose Gonzales, Hot Chip, Bloc Party, and Pharrell Williams.
