Show profile Hide profileMy working experience includes teaching and facilitating groups of young and adult learners for entry into Occupational Programmes at a TVET college, co-ordinating a team of educators regarding curriculum development, personal profiles and quality assurance in the field of overall assessments and processing them onto regional departmental software.
Management skills developed naturally because of my previous work experience. Formerly, I was a PA (personal assistant) where task responsibility and accountability of the company's administration rested squarely on my shoulders.
Thereafter, I assumed responsibility as a General Manager with Retail Management (ordering of supplies, liaising with customers and suppliers being key. Administratively, this portfolio meant process analysis of purchases and sales, sales development, database management and accounting management.
Further, I took responsibility for managing the staff, and other aspects of human capital resources which included recruitment. Workshops and promoting the ethos of the company honed my skills administratively. Thereafter I worked as Events & Conference Manager. My job description included managing, arranging and the setting up of events and conferences. Along with this, I was also involved in the development and marketing of the centre. Direct and Indirect Marketing and networking at exhibitions and or expositions.
