Born in Cape Town, I completed a degree in Primary Education at the University of Cape Town in 1997. After teaching for one year, a change in heart saw her completing a Diploma in Marketing Management.

After three years of working as a marketing executive in Cape Town for an online business outsourcing company, I moved to the UK in 2003. In 2004 I took on the role of Digital Marketing Manager at Weight Watchers, a New York Stock Exchange listed global organisation which has helped millions of people around the world lose weight. This opportunity afforded me the experience of participating within an international team, travelling across the UK and USA, managing European and USA agencies, as well as working alongside Harvard University alumni.

Returning to South Africa in 2011, I worked at various advertising agencies before joining Joe Public in 2016. I rose to the position of Group Account Director before switching to the position of Head of Brand and New Business in 2022.

With over 20 years in the marketing and advertising industries, I have a proven track record in creation and execution of marketing strategy, achieving marketing KPIs, establishing and leading marketing teams, building systems and processes, launching and growing start-up digital businesses and driving continued business growth through marketing efforts.

I have worked across multiple clients and sectors, including banking and finance, health and wellness, mining, medical, motoring, legal and tourism.

I have a passion for education and joined the IAB Education Council in 2023, a position I still hold. The mandate of the Education Council is to contribute to meaningful education and skills development in South Africa through thought leadership and influence.
