Appointed as Site Manager under the OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 85 OF 1993 – 16.2.
Maximum employees on site – 160
Appointed as Health and Safety committee chair person. Control the pity cash on site and do month end reports on spending.
Interview employees for positions and to be part of the team to complete the overland conveyor project from Shondoni to Sasol Secunda (24 kilometer) longest tail driven curved conveyor in the Southern hemisphere. Appoint Supervisors under the MHSA and the OHSA. Appoint operators of moving machines under the OHSA – Driven machine regulation. Get nominees for Safety reps from all employees and have an election and done the appointments after the election. See that all employees that is appointed have the correct training and all operators have a valid license to operate. Compiling of a project plan on MS Projects for the complete project.
Compile method statement for the erection of all structures, conveyors and installation of mechanical equipment as per erection drawings, part by mark list and bolt list.
Help with the compiling of Risk Assessments for all tasks. With the help of the Rigger team compiling rigging studies for all heavy and complex lifts.
Compiling of daily reports on work performed the previous day. Month end reports of all work done. Doing PTO's on employees to track their performance on specific tasks. Be part of the cold and hot commissioning team to complete the project.
