EMPLOYMENT 2014 - Present: Lecturer in Sound Engineering
My Duties/Responsibilities includes:
Presenting lectures and practical demonstrations in sound engineering for 2nd and 3rd year media students.
Developing curriculum, presentation and course material.
Miscellaneous student advisor duties.
2003 - Present Freelance Sound Engineer: Experiences as a recording engineer include final mix for many Kyknet, SABC and MK television shows. These consisted mainly of documentaries which included a lot of different source materials like noisy/broken archive footage which had to get cleaned up and making sure all levels are properly synched and resolving conflict between audio tracks such as narration and music. I have run and owned my own home recording studio since 2003. My workload includes recording and mixing of artists/groups as well as composition and arranging of backtracks and Library music. Full Album recording (Including Recording engineering, Mix Engineering, Mastering Engineering) Field recording of audio for video productions. Final Mix for television programs Live Sound Engineering for concerts and seminars.

Freelance Sound Engineering taught me how to manage time as I have to present clients with a high quality finished product within an allocated time period.

Duties / Responsibilities
Conceiving and construction of Acoustical Projects including Recording Studios, Radio Stations, Home Theaters, Soundproofing and/or acoustic treatment of offices, boardrooms, churches, industrial applications, schools and school halls as well as construction and installation of Audio/visual and HVAC systems.
Overseeing construction, Client relations, Quantity surveying, Quotations, Payroll, Acoustical analysis etc.
1995 - Present Musician I have been seriously studying and performing music since age 11. Although the guitar is my main instrument I also studied piano for 3 years which massively assists me in my usage of MIDI as a compositional tool which I have always enjoyed. I have been part of many acts around the country and have performed at hundreds of venues across southern africa and Europe. I also write music for artists and compose and record my own Library(background) music. I have also done a lot of session work.
