As a marketing-communications specialist I focus on the development of digital marketing strategies and the management of internal and external communications, brand activations and marketing campaigns.
Most recently I joined Conco as the sales and marketing manager for the group. I oversaw the creation and development of their brands, digital and print advertising campaigns and other client-facing marketing materials. I was responsible for the business development goals and the expansion in South Africa. My core function entailed the management of the sales team, client relations and developing ways to streamline current and future operations.
Throughout my career I've worked closely with all levels of management in creating marketing-communication campaigns. I was the editor of numerous online corporate communication publications - this included design, content creation and copy editing. I've designed and managed Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn company pages. I hosted live twitter feeds for award ceremonies and managed online advertising campaigns. In addition, I've been involved in formulating and launching events and conferences.
My knowledge in using content management systems, UX design, SEO and Google Analytics provide me with the required skills during the development phase as well as the maintenance and monitoring of websites. I have experience in Adobe graphic design software - this helps me when I'm managing third party agencies or when I am designing campaigns myself. In addition I have above average skills in Microsoft office applications.
I am a qualified digital marketer, a qualification I obtained through the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Furthermore, I have certificates in Media Management/PR (Damelin College), Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media Management (Red & Yellow School).
