Job Description
Purpose: To lead and manage teams in order to deliver internal audit, risk management and corporate governance services to a wide variety of clients across all industries while providing clients with real and value added consulting services.
Planning and Executing Audits...
? Developing Audit Plan/Strategy;
? Formulating/Developing Audit Policies and Procedures;
? Developing Audit Methodologies and Resource Plans;
? Creation of Internal Control and Risk Management Frameworks;
? Policy and Strategy Reviews;
? Leading teams of audit professionals in conducting Risk Based Audits; and
? The audits involve evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management systems, information systems, policies and procedures, management and board oversight, corporate governance structures as well as assessing compliance by institutions with applicable laws, regulations and international best practice.

? Assessing the operational soundness and overall financial condition of institutions;
? Assessing the effectiveness and comprehensiveness of Internal Controls and Risk Management frameworks as well as the tools and techniques for identifying, measuring, monitoring and controlling risk;
? Conducting Risk Assessments across all institutional functional areas. Risks covered include Operational, Credit, Liquidity, Interest Rate, Foreign Exchange, Legal & Compliance, Strategic and Reputation risk;
? Assessing institutional internal control and risk profiles, developing risk matrixes and risk assessment narratives of institutions;
? Leading teams in conducting risk based assessments of institutional processes covering all functional areas (incorporating financial, operational processes, etc.);
? Reviewing corporate governance structures in line with international best practices and applicable standards;
? Evaluating and monitoring compliance by institutions, with relevant laws and regulations, guidelines, directives, and observance of applicable best practices;
? Conducting investigations on possible violations of applicable directives, guidelines, laws and regulations;
? Preparing and presenting reports (to management and relevant governance committees/stakeholders) on audit findings and discussing the findings with management in accordance with organizational structural and reporting arrangements;
? Managing stakeholder relationships;
? Capacity building, Training and Evaluating the performance of professionals (subordinates) involved in engagements; and
? Undertaking research on key issues/developments of concern in auditing, risk management, corporate governance and related areas.
2. SENIOR RISK ANALYST (BANK EXAMINER): Bank Supervision and Surveillance Division (BSSD), RESERVE BANK OF ZIMBABWE (RBZ), (Oct 2004 to 2007)

? Planned and conducted risk based analysis/audits of institutions;
? Drafted Risk and Audit Reports, subsequently presenting them to stakeholders, such operational Line Management, Senior Management and the Board of Directors of client institutions.

The risk assessments involved evaluating the adequacy of risk management systems, policies and procedures, internal controls, information systems, Management and Board oversight, corporate governance structures as well as assessing compliance with applicable laws, regulations and international best practice.
