Responsibilities
? Oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of stock for 5 different companies
? Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, manage people, Processes, systems, in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and productivity targets are met, as well as dispatching of goods to customers on time.
? Responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock.
? liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
? plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
? use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
? have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
? coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems where necessary
? respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
? keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
? plan future capacity requirements
? organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
? motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce
? produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as well as KPI'S
? brief team leaders on a daily basis
? visit customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
? maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work ? Ability to meet demanding deadlines
? High degree of accuracy, problem solving.
? Interpersonal skills.
? Receiving and dispatch stock (Physically & on system),
? Bin allocations
? Responsible for planning all warehouse resources & activities in relation to companies' objectives & targets. Also keeping track of stock using computer systems, allocating space for storing goods & organizing special requirements for stock.
? Making sure that all freight receipts and deliveries are carried out in time.
? Leading, motivating, training and developing staff.
? Responsible for company vehicles e.g. forklifts and hysters as well as transportation.
? Delivery routing of company vehicles
? Housekeeping
? Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for Stock Take,
? Stock Take, department budgets
? Identifying risk areas and addressing such, Requirements:
? Inventory management qualification,
? Good communication skills (verbal & written),
? Good time management,
? Fully computer literate,
? Highly disciplined
? Exporting for African Countries
? Health and Safety Manger 16.2 (Assistant to CEO)
? Importing form China / UK / America
? Travelling to (DRC) & Tanzania for stock takes
