As you will see from the attached CV, I am building my career in a variety of roles, previously, at the Cool Dads Foundation were I wasn't only a Personal Assistant but also a Public Relations assistant, Interview panel member, and team player! I'm not only used to wearing many hats, I sincerely enjoy it: I thrive in busy environments I find that I am able to push myself to the best of my ability.
In addition to being flexible and organized, I'm also a fanatic of clear and concise communication - especially with stakeholders and the public. One of my recent projects involved the following:
Writing letters to stakeholders and possible sponsors, compiling a media release, editing the script for the promotion video of The Love Potion Concert which was a fundraising event for the Cool Dads Foundation.
On the day of the event I was a Backstage Manager when the artists arrived, I would be ready to welcome them and show them to their rooms, make sure they have everything that was included in their hospitality riders and that they're on time for their performances.
Results? All communication was well received, the Expresso Morning show covered our event, the promo video circulated throughout different social networks and local radio stations.
Last but certainly not least, you're probably wondering how I ended up volunteering as a PR Assistant while being a Personal Assistant at the same time right? Well, working for an NPO has worked at my advantage. I was able to see how the PR and Marketing team were always swamped with work and looked like they needed extra hands, so I negotiated with my boss that I would volunteer my services whenever I was free and I have never been happier and as they say, the rest is history!
I'm thrilled at the possibility of working in PR full time, I would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the value that I can bring, and I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.
