WORK EXPERIENCE
Aug 2014 - Nov 2014: The Daveyton's Society for the Aged, Assistant to the manager.
• This was a school project called "work integrated learning"
• I worked with an NGO from Daveyton "Daveyton's Society for Aged for a period of 3 months.
• Had to create a public relations programme for the NGO; raise funds and seek donations from different companies e.g. Edcon, pep, Shoprite.
• Conduct thorough planning, developing and implementing PR strategies.
• Liaising with colleagues.
• Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and email;
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.

June 2007: Madadeni Shoprite Checkers (Retail and grocery store), Casual worker
• Worked as a packer. Great experience in working with people, learnt how to deal with difficult customers and accommodate all peoples' needs.
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
