Over the last decade I have been developing and honing my IT skills working with a broad range of hardware and software products in various environments from logistics to ICT distribution and using every opportunity presented to broaden my skills and knowledge.
My latest endeavour consists of completing my MCSE certification through IT Academy online training based in Cape Town.
My most recent work experience involved supporting users of a large logistical company covering everything from day to day support calls to setting up new branch sites and the respective equipment and servers required. Utilizing a broad range of tools, some of which includes TeamViewer and Microsoft RDP, remote support is given. Tasks include but are not limited to backup setup maintenance and monitoring. Surveillance systems upkeep and repairs. Tracking and monitoring systems support.
Skills acquired during the last 10 years mainly consist of but are not limited to: Laptop and Desktop machine builds, configuration and repairs. Server builds and configuration. Network setup and support. CCTV systems installation and support. Backup system build, configure, support and repair. Printer setup and support. Basic to intermediary AD and e-mail support. Knowledge and support of Outlook and Lotus notes. Basic skills of routing and security systems such as Fortinet firewalls and Cisco routers and switches.
