Budgeting and expenditure control for the unit
Coordinating the implementation of outreach programmes and skills development events within the Eastern Cape Province
Responsible for developing and reviewing operational manuals.
Assist co-operatives to acquire their start up requirements;
Dissemination of learnership information as well as skills programme to the clients
Provide an incentive that supports broad-based black economic empowerment.
Responsible for development of a framework for funding applications in line with national priorities.
Responsible for evaluating project proposals, applications and submissions.
Liaise with setas & services providers in respect of skills developments interventions pertaining rural development
Responsible for Development, implementation and monitoring of memorandum /agreements.
Plan and oversee monitoring and evaluation of projects in allocated portfolio.
Plan and oversee the close-out and final evaluation of project in respect of training.
Responsible for the general administration of the training and development
Prepare payments for all training interventions
Register and capture Learner's results on to the relevant SETAs
Ensure that all intakes meet the SETA standards
Assist in monthly updating of asset register with acquisitions, movements, losses, disposals, bar coding of new assets and update the asset register accordingly.
Upload declarations of competence to the SETA data-net system (NLRD) National Learner Record Database
Prepare Learner portfolio of evidence for internal and external moderation
Send out feedback - statement of results to the Learners
Assist with in the recruitment and administration of the Learners for learnerships
Managing the contracting of training and development to external accredited training providers.
Attend to and co-ordinate all client queries effectively and timeously
To respond to enquiries about skills development in the organization
Coordinate the entire education, training and development initiatives within the
Department of Rural Development & Agrarian Reform.
Compile and submit the annual Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report to AgriSETA.
Submit monthly and quarterly reports on Skills Development to management;
Align training interventions to enable and enhance performance, growth and satisfaction in the workplace.
Record all Training Expenditure Reimbursements from SETA on WSP/ATR submissions and work done.
Compile reports on Employment Equity and Skills Development programmes as well as on WSP/ATR to comply with the legal requirements of the legislative framework, e.g. Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act , SAQA, NSDS III, National Skills Accord and SDLA.
Facilitate the signing of Learnership Agreements with Learners, Training Providers and the department of Rural Development & Agrarian Reform in respect of learnerships.
Formalize official processes and documentations critical to SETA and Service Providers for Learnership/Internship Stipend payments, and completing Portfolio of Evidence for all the activities undertaken;.
Developing and maintaining a database of suppliers
Submit annual training report which is in line with the strategic objectives of the department, Provincial Growth Development Plan,
Initiate partnerships with the Further Education and Training and Higher Education and Training colleges in respect of training.
Assist emerging service providers in the process of accreditation.
