BOTTLES - The Alcohol Delivery App [May 2017 to date]
Position: Junior Operations Manager
Bottles is the fastest, most convenient, price competitive, reliable way to order beer, wine, spirits, mixers and snacks from any location. Orders are delivered within 20 to 60 minutes from the users' nearest bottle-stores. This amazing App is functional in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban.
My current role at Bottles is to oil, service and run the V12 engine that is running in the background of the App that ensures all our customers are kept happy and receive their orders within our promised timeframe. The scope of my job extends to the management of our delivery partners such as Uber, Taxify, Wumdrop as well as PeachPayments and our bottle store suppliers in our territories.
My Specific job tasks include:
? Leading and managing a team of 3 head office employees who are responsible for checking, confirming and executing client orders.
? Managing business relationships with over 27 bottle stores in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban.
? Also, as a key fundamental, my role defines and manages the margins of profit that the business makes from all alcohol and snacks sales. This means negotiating product prices with suppliers and updating price points for clients on the App.
? Updating App pricing to correlate with supplier promotions on selected products.
BOTTLES - The Alcohol Delivery App [Oct 2016 - April 2017]
Position: Assistant Product and Customer Service Officer
My career at Bottles started as an Assistant Product and Customer Service Officer focused on managing the customer sales cycle.
My specific job task included:
? Day to day management of online orders coming through the App. This included managing the sales dashboard; an average of 15 drivers per day; overseeing 'order compiling staff' at the various bottle stores and completing the sales cycle with after sales calls.
? Inducting, training and setting up new systems at bottle stores that have partnered with Bottles to use as warehouses across our territories.
? Ensuring products on the app menu correlate to that of stock levels in the stores.
? Responding to customer emails; processing customer payments and tending to customer calls and enquiries.
? Reporting to the Junior and/or Senior Operations Manager
