I am Patricia Thandi Hlophe, currently working as an Intermediate IT Business Consultant, for a well-known IT company. I am currently in possession of an honours degree in BIS (Hons) Information Science from the University of Pretoria. I am also a member of the Golden Key Honour Society.
For the past couple of years, I have been working for various companies for part time jobs which have groomed me and helped me to grow my skill set. I started off working for GSH Construction & Projects where I did basic Admin, then I moved on to being a Volunteer Computer Literacy Trainer at the University of Pretoria for a couple of weeks and then I worked on a surveying project done by 3M Consulting for a month where we collected data at various transport facilities in Pretoria. I then participated in an internship programme at Business Connexion as a Business Consulting Intern, and then as a Junior IT Business Consultant. I then got promoted and I am currently an IT Business Consultant.
I believe that I am the perfect candidate for this position because I have an interest in IT and I am currently working in the IT field, mainly advisory, covering areas such as IT Governance (using COBIT), ITIL Assessments, Enterprise Architecture (using TOGAF and also modelling in CaseWise Corporate Modeller), Business Analysis, and Business Process Engineering (modelling in Visio and using BPMN notation). I am also certified in ITIL foundation v3, and MS Excel (Level 1-3). With broad skill set, I could be able to do various tasks. In my current position, some of my responsibilities include the following:
Reviewing ICT policies & procedures,
Designing and developing ICT processes (Based on ITIL and COBIT),
Process Design as per client requirements,
Documenting processes in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),
Documenting & updating project deliverables,
Document training material,
Research & business analysis,
Project & deliverable administration during projects,
Tender assist,
Developing CVs for candidates,
Administration of the CaseWise Knowledge Bases:
Capture strategy from documentation supplied,
Capture organisational structure from supplied documentation,
Capture business model into toolset,
Capture initiatives, current and future into model,
Capture current business processes into standard framework,
Publish the final model with the approved initiatives, projects and roadmaps in the toolset to enable the management of the continuous improvement programme.
Map and manage monthly translations (e.g. business applications, infrastructure products, technologies, etc.).
