Show profile Hide profileMy role as a Seminar Manager is to organise the on-floor seminar (junior conference that takes place on the exhibition hall).
My duties here is to contact all sponsors and exhibitors and offer them a speaking opportunity at the seminars. The seminars are based on topics in a specific sector ( depending on the expo/ industry), new projects that are happening in world and latest in innovations and technologies.
I also do my own research (this would be on the buy side) in inviting persons from other companies with specific job titles to come be speakers at the seminars and give us their insights with the industry.
My role as a Awards Manager is to get as many nominations for all the Awards that will be taking place.
My duties here is to contact all sponsors and exhibitors and inform them about all the awards that are taking place. I also inform all incubators, associations, universities and innovation hubs about all the awards that are taking place ( this would also be my own research).
The awards are for all countries and I do my best to invite them. I also invite our judges and ask them for their insight with who would be the best target market to inform about the awards.
My role as a Audience Manager is to invite people to attend our events for free. And for my attendees to attend my seminars, be part of our exclusive event highlights, network with our sponsors and exhibitors and also our delegates, and for them to set up meetings.
My duties here is to contact all the data so this would be all the new data, spex- data, past attendees and 'no shows'.
When I contact the attendees I inform them about all the new developments, new attractions of the exhibition. I also inform them about all the benefits they can get as attendees. My pass is a free pass (this is like in the Sales Department but this pass is for free- I do at times sale on my awards dinner).
I do face a lot of challenges informs of people not wanting to attend and querying on why the pass is for free. They get to source out solutions from our sponsors and exhibitors. They get to network and they get to attend the seminars and learn insights from our speakers about their sector
