Show profile Hide profileMy passion lies in simplifying that which others perceive to be complicated. My diverse experience has given me the ability to quickly grasp the fundamentals of a business from both a macro and micro perspective. This can then rapidly be disseminated from the status quo into a needs analysis. Diagnosing these problems helps me understand the business drivers within organisations well enough to identify performance issues (workflow and skills sets) and analyse their impact on short and long term business results.
Analysing competencies or skill sets is no different to analysing system efficiencies, as long as there is a clear driver for this change. I believe that people are the most important asset of any organisation. People deal with people. My relationships are built on trust and mutual respect, forming partnerships with mutual responsibility. My goal is to take people from competent in their skill set to being efficient and effective team players, through aligning their strengths to that which the business requires.
Throughout my career I have had a unique exposure, which has helped forge a path to my current endeavours, and I am passionate about driving change through learning in South Africa and Africa. I have 20 odd years experience buying, turning around and selling companies, high exposure deals, turning and retaining reluctant clients and achieving a turnaround sales by adding value to my business partners. My passion lies around focus to bring results.
I believe that community upliftment can only be accomplished through entrepreneurial innovation, by educating people on how to change and challenge business processes. I believe people grow, learn and evolve through self awareness and, it has recently been determined, that this is a critical need in soft skills training. By creating a holistic platform in learning and development, I believe we can create and sustain change which will benefit both people and organisations.
