Show profile Hide profileI started my Bachelor's degree at the Advetech IIE Rosebank College in 2014 after I received a bursary from SYSDBA. In the three years that I have been doing I have learnt a lot. My majors are Business Analysis and Database. I am an adaptable college student currently completing my degree in Bachelor of IT in Business systems.
Whilst completing my degree I have acquired skills such as: Microsoft SQL server (database administration) IT project management, IT risk Management, Microsoft suite skills, IT strategy, Project Management and SAP ERP knowledge. In my academic, I have been consistently praised as adaptable by my lecturers and peers.
In completing my degree with Rosebank College, I have been involved in various projects. In 2014 I started volunteering for the Home of Hope computer classes, where I was volunteering to teach disadvantaged girls basics of using computers. In 2015 I was promoted to manage the program with my other two classmates, where I was overseeing the running of the lesson plans and either facilitating lessons or assigning facilitators which I am still doing this year as well. I have also volunteered as the student library assistant, I also participated in the Color Run volunteering committee, knit-a-square South Africa and also participated in the P&G Special Olympics which was a great experience for me.
I haven't worked in an IT related field whilst I was in college, I only did practical work with SYSDBA during my holidays which mainly consisted of me shadowing the various employees and learning about the company and how they do their job. During the course of my academic career, I also managed to accrue nearly close to three years of work experience. I had the privilege of working for Edcon (Edgars) in a Service center operator role in my free time, where I learned a lot and also learned how to sell a product and great customer service.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to apply for the open graduate training program at your company. After reviewing your job description, it's clear that you're looking for a versatile candidate to handle the numerous and varied responsibilities associated with this role. Given these requirements, I am certain that I can meet and exceed all expectations.
Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven analytical, communication, and creative thinking skills, which I hope to leverage at your company.
After reviewing my resume, I hope you will agree that I am the type of skilled and resourceful candidate you are looking for. I look forward to elaborating on how my varied skillsets and abilities will benefit your organization.
