Show profile Hide profileI graduated from Varsity College with a Diploma in Journalism. The nature of my diploma included journalism and media studies, news writing, photography, editing, Abode InDesign, Publisher, all Microsoft Office programmes, which have prepared me well for a position such as this one. I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Science at the University of South Africa. In this degree I am majoring in Communications science studies and marketing.
I have worked as a sales consultant at Call Centre International for eight months, where I gained marketing, telesales, problem solving, communications, being a team player, management and customer service skills. Thereafter, I worked at the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education as a Communications and Publication intern for a year. Working as an intern has definitely paved the way for my career in recognizing my true passion and talent in the media industry, interacting with the public through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and the Departments website, as well as internal communications, writing and serving the public.
I am currently a temporary worker at Natal Joint Pension Fund within the public relations department, where I do general Office administration like preparing documents by putting them in envelops, franking them for distribution or mailing to members and councillors to all municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal. I also answer and make phone calls to members and councillors for updates on upcoming events and confirmation for letters.
I feel I am suitable for this role as I have great deal of experience in interacting with journalists, the media industry, writing, great marketing skills, administration and internal communication skills. I consider myself to be friendly, efficient, loyal, well mannered, hardworking, vibrant, good listener and enthusiastic worker. I believe I would be the ideal candidate based on the fact that I am always willing to learning, team player and I rise to the occasion in any situation. I am very keen to work for an ambitious company such as yours as I have done research and found that I can grow in your organisation.
