Show profile Hide profileThabang Phala, popularly known as Abuti Rams is South African entrepreneur, business consultant, brand strategist, facilitator, thought leader, award-winning development practitioner and host of Abuti Rams Show - an online African business show on Athari TV.
Thabang is the founder and managing director of Abuti Rams Consultancy (ARC) and BizM8 Group with vast experience in Business Development, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) aided by his qualifications in Business Informatics, Cybersecurity, Web and Application Development.
Thabang also provides consulting and training services in social media for organisations such as Facebook Africa through Digify Africa, Vodacom, The Innovation Hub (TIH), German Cooperation (GIZ), South African National Blood Service (SANBS), South African Police Service (SAPS) and Gauteng Department of Community Safety.
During his 11 years as a human development practitioner, Thabang worked with hundreds of individuals and groups across various sectors including teachers, students, government administrators, political and even religious leaders by assisting and guiding them to greater levels of achievement, fulfilment and empowerment. This was through a Non-Profit Organisation by the name of Agape Youth Movement (AYM) which he co-founded with seven other youth from a South African township called Soshanguve in 2009.
As a brand and digital strategist includes work he has done in developing web applications, digital campaign management and effective digital marketing strategies for local and global organisations such as Climate Innovation Centre (CIC) South Africa, City of Tshwane and Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP).
Thabang has contributed on media platforms with a focus on topics such as entrepreneurship, youth development, social media and digital marketing. Some of these platforms include Power FM, Newzroom Afrika, SA FM, Radio 702, Motsweding FM, CliffCentral, UNISA Radio, Tshwane FM and TUT FM. Thabang kicked-off his writing career with News24 and Mail & Guardian's Thought Leader with his famous article titled Step on the Corruption Scale[1] published in 2014. He is also a self-published author of two books; Beyond Inspiration[2] (2015) and A Tweet from My Bedroom (2016).
He is currently the creator and host of the Abuti Rams Show that is on its first season which interviews African business leaders such as Bonang Mohale, Herman Mashaba, Charles Savage, Joshua Maponga, Khandani Msibi and many others.
