I have recently completed my SAICA articles in a successful accounting firm in Durban and have been discharged from the training program in January 2016.

Over the passed three years I have achieved an unquantifiable amount of experience in the public and private sector. The training program required that I achieve close to 100 competencies ranging from Accounting and Financial Management to Auditing and Internal Auditing.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and I am currently studying part-time towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences (Honours).

My responsibilities included (but not limited to) the following:

- Compiling of accounting working files in preparation for audit
- Reconciliations of debtors, creditors, revenue, tax, etc.
- Tax and VAT returns
- Statutory and CIPC returns
- Capturing of invoices and bank statements
- Drafting of monthly, bi-annual and annual financial statements/management accounts.
