Show profile Hide profileBecoming a Strategic Marketing Consultant has been a dream that I have envisaged since I began my academic career at the University of Pretoria in 2013. This motivated me to excel academically in my studies and my dedication resulted in a membership in the Golden Key Honours society.
My membership in the society gave me the opportunity to be a delegate in the International Scholar Laureate Program for Business and Entrepreneurship which was held in May 2015, in Australia. The career exploration and program helped guide my passion in being efficient and productive in all aspects of my life and afforded me the opportunity to experience and appreciate a different environment. This has led me to pursuing a Master's degree in International Marketing at various global institutions.
I strongly believe that efficiency leads to productivity and productivity in turn results in being efficient. This allows me to not only encourage myself but those around me too. I enthusiastically applied for the role of chairperson and member of the executive committee for the Hatfield Studios residence, where I believed that I would be committed in aiding the student accommodation organisation to establish an environment that will be conducive to the wholly development of students academically, culturally and socially. I was elected as the Vice Chairperson and First Year Guardian for Hatfield Studios in 2015 and was a member of a dynamic executive committee that was focused on creating an environment for other students that would contribute to their success at the University.
Social development and awareness is of utmost importance to me and I diligently assisted Colgate- Palmolive, as an awarded bursar, in the social initiatives and campaigns that were held in December 2015 and on Mandela Day both in 2016 and 2017. I am currently in the Graduate Program for the organisation and have gained skills and commercial acumen both in the Sales and Marketing Departments and currently the Customer Services and Logistics Department. My first role was assisting with Field Sales and aiding with capturing stock and placing orders for the customers. I have assisted in the launch of new products in the Personal Care Category and also completed the transitioning of existing products in the organisation. I contributed to the organisation and divisional monthly and bi-annual reviews and reporting. I currently assist with the analytical and reporting tasks in the Logistics Department and monitor and track Key Performance Indicators to aid in the achieving the organisation's objectives.
Collaborative team work, empathy, analytical capabilities, positivity, leading with humility and passion are one of the few attributes that I possess and believe will be suitable and adaptable to your organisation.
