Marketing: I have an extensive understanding of the traditional marketing mix as well as innovative marketing, sales and communication strategies and methods; I am capable of measuring the ROI for the campaigns I manage using various metrics i.e. revenue growth, market share, marketing intelligence and profitability; I have B2B and B2C experience; I have a full grasp in the principles of design, with a hands-on ability to not only do graphic design but to code (HTML) for various digital platforms too;
Communications & Content: I am well-versed on how to deliver on campaigns using thought leadership, client & staff communications, PR, events, sponsorships and intranets to ensure success; I apply proven mechanisms to build relationships with all stakeholders - employees, existing and prospective clients, intermediaries, shareholders, industry bodies, publishers, vendors and the community; I have developed crisis-management communications, policy, strategies and processes.
Branding: I am a seasoned brand champion, ensuring all marketing and communications initiatives support the company's brand and corporate strategic objectives; I know how to enhance brand positioning and increase revenue through the implementation of brand activities and campaigns, employee brand ambassadorship and building good relationships with partners and vendors; I have over 20 years' graphic design experience, I have developed both CI and brand manuals.
Digital: I make an effort to stay up to date with the latest global trends and best practices in digital marketing, including ways to improve and innovate in this space; I have successfully used email and mobile marketing to nurture client relationships; I have working knowledge in managing digital assets , CMS, and SEO & SEM tools. Including Google analytics.
Analysis: I am proficient at data research and analysis (qualitative & quantitative) to segment and define target markets, refine and improve the product value proposition and implement the best market-penetration strategy; I understand industry trends and best practice, competitor activities, client and product innovations and new technologies to analyse and identify both opportunities and challenges.
Business development/CRM: As a CRM custodian and POPI champion I am well-positioned to manage client and prospective client data; I am able to put processes in place to ensure business units are supported in developing their CRM contact lists in order to promote better account penetration and marketing management; I am an active listener that uses client satisfaction measurement tools (surveys) to look for 'messages'.
Management & General: I am a collaborator and mediator, ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders. I work with my teams strengths, instinctively knowing when to lead from the front and when to lead from behind; I have sound financial acumen particularly in the areas of compiling a marketing budget, negotiating better rates, cutting out unnecessary spend and P&L accountability.
