Victor Ledwaba
I am passionate in the draughting environment and love the work hence i come accompanied by my qualifications and experience from previous employment. i am able to produce engineering plans both in 2D and 3D modeling. i have knowledge of Autocad an Microstation cad 2D and 3D.

as Junior Designer. My first task was to undergo for test trialling different CAD applications e.g. Structural Bentley 3D, Stru CAD and Tekla which prevailed to be the best application for in house shop detailing drawings. -My first 3D modelling Project was to model the Anglo Platinum Staildrift mine winder house from 2D to a 3D model of the winder house. -Therefore I worked on Anglo Platinum Paardekral mine level 28 shaft station from shaft configuration, station steel work, penthouses, Gates and screening. On the same shaft station I had to update piping position and pipe brackets to suit the repositioning and extract various types of drawings from structural, piping and sheet development drawings for checking. I worked on the crashing sequence for the Maryanne man cage. I designed the skeleton cage for shaft inspection.-My first feasibility study project was at the Anglo Platinum Bathopele mechanised declines where I produced schematic drawings of the layout of the conveyors. I had acquired knowledge of Quantity Surveying I therefore volunteered to do the bills of Quantities for the project manager I worked with just to expose myself further. -At Anglo Platinum Tumela Mine I designed the 16E decline Box fronts using a 3D rock image scanner to position steelwork to precision. There came time for transition in the year 2011 because of the proposal to close Project Engineering and Design department due to lack of internal projectstherefore went for a contractual position in Materials Handling at Aecom as a Mechanical Designer.Aecom - Transnet Capital Projects, Nqura Manganese Export Terminal -As a Mechanical Designer in Materials Handling my core responsibilities was Drawing / modelling in 3D general arrangement lay outs of Conveyors and Structural Towers. As-Built drawings and drawings of new sites. Calculating and costing of the Bill of materials from suppliers.-I initially was allocated three conveyors one Being the Tippler conveyor (CV-1170) which I designed and modelled only, drawings were extracted by another designer recruited later when the project reached towards the dead line for assistance.-While I worked on the other two Stock Yard Discharge conveyors (CV-1410 & CV-2410) which I designed, modelled and extracted 2D General arrangement and Detail drawings. On the project I had acquired the basics of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes for various types of conveyor systems. Understanding the basics of other mechanical systems and manufacturing processes as they relate to conveyors, including paint and coating application process & equipment, material handling and delivery equipment, line display equipment, as
well as pneumatic, hydraulic applications and electrical conveyor controls. Leasing with Structural and Mechanical Design Engineers for:-Provide routine engineering Draughting support for all areas of the Plant-Improve equipment and systems operating reliability and efficiency through working with contractors, equipment/product manufacturers through engineering application/principles-Assist to coordinate project design and work closely with internal and external clients to provide cost effective solutions for generating unit needs.
