×Show profile Hide profileAs the Secretary of Recreation at the University of Namibia's Student Representative Council, I am currently responsible for updating information on any events on campus, any key events within Windhoek, and developing careers within the University by availing the general student population as a key platform. This involves heavy calling during my shifts at the office. In addition to calling, I also email clientele and update all social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. This calls for me to employ interpersonal skills to communicate with clients effectively as well.
In my previous positions as the French Society's President and the Zim Society's Secretary General, my primary goal was to promote and educate current and potential patrons. At this stage I ran promotion campaigns such as putting posters up, and maintaining the Facebook page, now this is all incorporated in what I do at the lounge and in my work as the Secretary of Recreation.
I believe that my experiences in marketing and interpersonal skills make me a prime candidate for this position. I will be a valuable asset to a company one day and I will use this as an opportunity to grow and further the development of my marketing skill set.
