Hello, I am Yolandie.
I fell in love with the ad world in 2001 when working as a photographer's assistant in Berlin.
Since then I have worked on brands like Nestlé, RGBC, Distell, Pernod-Ricard, Woolworths, Lipton, Ceres, the Jordan
Group, Media 24 & more. I see myself as a through-the-line-across-channels-ideas person. I love to come up with
conceptual design. Or a facebook campaign that's a billboard.
I fell in love with the ad world in 2001 when working as a photographer's assistant in Berlin. It took a porti full of hippo-sketches and a lot of gallery visits to get accepted into the renowned Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule. Here, a passion for Typography was slowly drilled into me by meticulous German Professors. After working in Berlin for a while I emigrated to the land of my Oupas and Oumas; South Africa. Since then I have worked on brands like Nestlé, RGBC, Distell, Pernod Ricard, Woolworths, Lipton, Ceres, the Jordan Group, Media 24 & more. I see myself as a through-the-line-across-channels-ideas person. I love to come up with conceptual design. Or a facebook campaign that's a billboard. Or a music tour that is a T-shirt promo.
In my career I've had the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of brands, ideas and executions. I've designed logos, packaging and websites. I've conceptualised social media campaigns, integrated-, launch- or re-branding campaigns, art directed photo shoots and mentored juniors. In my next position I want to share some of the things I've learnt and learn a whole lot more.
My biggest goals are meticulously drilling a passion for Typography into my team as well as proving that Germans do have a sense of humour. Sometimes.
