Yusuf was born with physical disability, which forced his mom to give up working so that she can look after him 24/7. While growing up, he watched his family struggle to make ends meet. Yusuf attended Astra School for the physically disabled and matriculated in 1994.The following year, he got accepted to enrol for a teaching course at the University of Western Cape. After a few months of studying, he was informed by the Department of Education that they will no longer provide him a bursary as previously agreed. He dropped out of varsity and returned home feeling hurt and not knowing what he'll do with his life from that point.
His two eldest brothers worked for a co-contractor at UCT and he used to see them go to work every day. The City of Cape Town provided him with an opportunity to do a business course. The knowledge he got doing the course and the fact that his brothers worked in construction propelled him to become a building contractor. That was the beginning of Ramway cc.

Since then, Ramway has successfully serviced the building Industry for the past 12 years and prides itself in being a business which renders its services as an honest, reliable and trustworthy enterprise.
