Career Overview:
I started off my career as a Textile Designer. I didn't want to limit myself to one principle of design and moved to various companies where I have gained experience as a Senior Desktop Publisher, Graphic Designer and an Art Director. I worked up the ranks and was the CD of a company and am currently employed at Regenesys Business School.
Tertiary Qualifications:
Textile Design Diploma - Pretoria Technikon; Comprehensive Computer Graphics - Hirt & Carter; Graphic Design - AAA School of Advertising; Adobe Acrobat Pro - Vega Art School; Dreamweaver, HTML, Visual Studio.
Awards & Achievements:
I have received awards for Textile Design and Fine Art. I feel my greatest achievement has been to meet tight deadlines with high quality, effective creative work.
Personal Profile:
I have been in the industry for over 20 years and provide highly competitive creative solutions across a wide variety of design disciplines including: Corporate Identity & Stationery, Posters, Brochures, Packaging, Invitations, Point of Sale, Re-Branding, Magazine Design & Layout, Bespoke Website Design, Textile Design & Illustration. I have been freelancing for 3 years now and whilst it has been a challenging experience, I feel that I could add more value to a company and by working with other like minded creatives. I am aiming towards a career that will drive me beyond my limitations, ignite my creative side, and provide more stability in my life. I am a fast learner and enjoy a challenge.
Software skills include:
Adobe CS6: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro; CorelDRAW; Visual Studio & Microsoft Office.
