Show profile Hide profileI have worked for the SAPS for 17 years and worked at the detectives and Crime Intelligence where I investigated cases and enjoyed considerable success. At the intelligence, I recruited and handled sources that reported on various crimes and registered network operations to address them. Before I left the SAPS I was attached to Counter Intelligence Investigations where I was responsible for investigations of security breaches and conducting of security risk assessments. As a Warrant Officer, I was in junior management and responsible for guiding junior members. I have experience in writing reports, as that's how our performance was measured
I am currently doing my fourth year LLB studies through UNISA and feel that my studies have equipped me with a legal knowledge required for the job.
I currently work as an Asset Protection Manager for RBA Developments where I am responsible for/but not limited to:-
Coordinating and planning of all security/protection requirements at all RBA sites and offices, including risk assessment.
Setting up and implementation of the necessary control mechanisms.
Liaison with security service providers and completion of security service agreements
Negotiation of contracts rates
Preparation and presentation of asset protection plan to management for approval
Conducting investigations/acting as RBA agent/being complainant in legal proceedings and assisting the SAPS with evidence and identification of potential witnesses
Conducting criminal and reference checks on the company's employees and potential employees.
Arrange/facilitate polygraph/ voice stress analysis as and when required.
Performing any other function necessary to give effect to the full execution of the job
