TQ Group, a visual communication agency driven by digital media solutions on multiple platforms, is seeking to appoint a digital manager. This role requires a multi-skilled and experienced mid to senior individual to manage our digital channels as well as of some of our clients. You will be part of a small, dedicated team where we are as passionate about our clients as we are of what we create for them.

Job description:

TQ Group is looking to employ an experienced social media campaign manager that will be able to build strategies and oversee multiple social media accounts. Our candidate must stay abreast of the latest trends, find new opportunities for marketing growth and report on our performance. Proven results and experience are a must as reporting will have to be done to clients on a monthly basis.

TQ follows a blended work approach. You will be required alternate working from home and from our offices in Auckland Park, Gauteng.

This is a permanent position with a three-month probation period.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Assisting in developing and executing digital marketing strategies across various channels, including social media, email, and website.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure the timely delivery of digital projects.
  • Analysing web traffic and campaign data to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts.
  • Conducting market research to identify new trends, technologies, and opportunities for growth.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of digital campaigns, including creating content calendars and managing budgets.
  • Developing and managing email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, testing, and optimization.
  • Writing and editing website copy, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Collaborating with designers and developers to create and launch digital content.
  • Managing social media accounts, including posting and engagement.
  • Monitoring and responding to customer feedback and inquiries on social media and other channels.
  • Managing and tracking digital marketing campaigns to ensure that they are within budget and achieving their objectives.
  • Assisting with the development of digital marketing reports, including analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitoring industry trends and best practices to inform digital marketing strategies.
  • Conducting competitor research and analysis.
  • Assisting with the management of the company's website, including updating content and managing user experience.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all digital channels.
  • Ensuring that all digital content and campaigns comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Supporting the development of SEO and SEM strategies and tactics.
  • Assisting in the management of paid advertising campaigns, including PPC and display advertising.
  • Staying up to date with the latest digital marketing tools, technologies, and trends.
Desired experience and qualification:   
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, AdWords, and social media management platforms.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts, including creating and publishing content.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Experience in writing and editing website copy, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on metrics.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and tactics.
  • Familiarity with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimisation.
  • Understanding of UX principles and user behaviour.
  • Knowledge of content marketing best practices.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com or Trello.
  • Passion for digital marketing and a desire to stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices.
