Qualified CA (SA) - West Rand - Gauteng

Our client is searching for a qualified CA (SA) to join their team in the West Rand of Gauteng.

The purpose of the position will be to support the Reporting; Finance and Tax functions.

The candidate must reside in Johannesburg or be serious to relocate. This is not a remote position.

Salary:
R60 000 - R65 000 basic

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified CA (SA)
• Minimum of 1 year experience out of articles
• IFRS knowledge
• Experience in consolidations (advantageous)
• Strong interest in tax and SARS experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Clean criminal record 
• Advanced experience in MS Excel (non-negotiable!)

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Support the finance department in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS.
• Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements.
• Analyse accounts upon request.
• Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct.
• Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage.
• Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods.
• Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit
• Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary.
• Group Reporting.
• Tax administration and compliance (Tax compliance, consulting and accounting).
• Consolidation.
• Other Ad hoc reporting duties.
