Mhondoro Safari Lodge appoints Patrick Nazinga as new head chef

Patrick Nazinga has been appointed head chef at Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. Originally from Angola and raised in Cape Town, he trained at the South African Chefs Academy and gained experience at Chef’s Warehouse and The Shortmarket Club.

His appointment follows a culinary partnership with chef Luke Dale Roberts, which elevated the lodge’s dining standards. The collaboration also empowered local staff through mentorship and in-service training, many of whom began their careers at Mhondoro.
