Coca-Cola dome general manager Mike Lord says this adds to the venue's professional approach of providing clients with a one-stop service.

“To enhance the dome's reputation as Gauteng's venue of choice for exhibitions, banquets, corporate events, conferences, concerts and special events, we strategically decided to appoint one catering company that would meet our specific demands for excellent service delivery in relation to banqueting catering.”

The Coca-Cola dome was voted Johannesburg's best concert venue for the 10th consecutive year in the Leisure Options Best of Johannesburg Readers' Choice Awards last year, and can be used for a variety of purposes on both a large and smaller scale.

“This appointment takes our service delivery to the next level, allowing us to actively market this ... venue to the corporate market.

“Since inception over 25 years ago, Delmont Caldow Caterers has grown from a small family business into one of the largest and most respected specialist banqueting, outdoor and private catering companies in South Africa.

“The reputation of this company that keeps abreast of changing trends in a highly competitive and volatile industry, was exactly what we seeked to ensure that our clients receive a one-stop service, also for their catering needs. Teaming up with one of the country's leading catering firms certainly enhances our commitment to excellent service,” says Lord.

Delmont Caldow Caterers Chief Executive Officer Dean Martin says they are honnoured to team up with the dome.

“When professional firms that underwrite the same commitment to service delivery pool resources and expertise, the outcome will inevitably benefit the client,” says Martin.

“The dome is now fully geared to meet corporate clients' needs and demands for that special event that stands out from the rest. The versatility, excellent location and world-class professional service from the in-house team and all its service providers place the dome in the enviable position to offer the kind of service that our clients expect and of which we can be proud,” says Lord.

The contract is for three years.
