West Africa Telecom Summit to take place in Ghana

According to reports the summit will "seek to push the frontiers of the ever-growing telecom market in the West Africa region forward to facilitate social and economic development."

Akin Naphtal, the group publisher of Mobile World Magazine, said the event aims to address the major challenges the operators are facing. "Among these are the data explosion, where we have increased data usage in the industry, with the smart phone driving growth in broadband and users. We're also looking at the regulatory work, the cloud market, further investments can happen within the sector, as well as mobile valued added services and growing trends within the industry."
