    The West and Central Africa Mining Summit serves the region's mining community by providing the best and only authoritative platform to learn, innovate and synergise with the power players of the extractive industry. Panel discussions with industry leaders along with individual presentations will highlight pressing issues and global trends to the fore.

    As partner event sponsor, Veolia organised a Mining Workshop taking place today from 10:30am till 16:00pm. The overall focus lies on Optimising Operations for Environmental Sustainability of Mining Facilities. The presentations highlight Veolia's value propositions in mining as well as specific case studies such as AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem gold mine where Veolia operates the water treatment plant.

    Moreover, Chris Howell, Mining & Primary Metals Vice President at Veolia will deliver a speech about Optimising operations for environmental sustainability at the WaCA conference. It will be conducted tomorrow from 11:10 to 11:35am, and translated simultaneously in French and English.

    Patrice Fonlladosa, President and CEO of Veolia Africa, said: "We believe the WaCA conference is an excellent platform that gives us the opportunity to emphasise our commitment to the mining industry in Africa, address inquiries and showcase tangible solutions to address environmental concerns of the industry."
